Light snow and colder for Denver tonight

DENVER — Milder air of Pacific origin has replaced the Arctic air of the past few days. This milder air has brought snow back into Colorado from the west. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect along I-25 from Monument Hill to Trinidad. New snowfall through early Thursday should reach around 3 to 6 inches in the advisory area. One to three inches can be expected in the Denver area by dawn.

Early morning road conditions will be slippery, especially south of the Denver area. Skies will clear for Thursday with highs staying in the middle 30s.

By Friday, milder weather will return, with highs in the 40s under a mostly sunny sky. Some snow showers will return to the northern and central mountains late in the day.

Saturday will be mild with highs around 50 degrees, but another storm will bring 3 to 6 inches of snow to the mountains may bring some showers or flurries late in the day for the Denver area.

Skies will clear on Sunday and temperatures will be a little cooler again with highs in the low 40s.

Warmer weather arrives next week with highs climbing into the mid-to upper 50s!
