DENVER —Afternoon highs were near record levels all weekend (mid to upper 90s) around Denver. We are finally going to feel a break in the heat starting on Monday.

A cooler weather pattern will move back into the central Rockies Monday as a cold front moves through the region.  Sadly, the front will not bring any moisture, but it will at least drop temperatures back closer to seasonal normals Monday and Tuesday with highs in the 80s.

Moisture will return to Colorado by Wednesday and Thursday with a good chance for showers and thunderstorms each afternoon. Our highs will also be back into the low 90s for the middle and end of the week. This will be just a short stretch of heat~ as temps drop back into the 80s next weekend.
