DENVER — The weather pattern will remain fairly quiet for tonight and Wednesday. Some high clouds will drift across the state, but no snow is expected. Lows will drop to the single digits and teens in the mountains and mainly 20s for Denver and the eastern plains.

Wednesday will be a partly cloudy day, with more high clouds expected. Highs will be in the 30s in the mountains with middle 40s to low 50s for the I-25 Corridor.

A minor disturbance will spread some thicker clouds and a few snow showers over the mountains Wednesday afternoon and early Thursday.

For Denver and the eastern plains, expect dry weather with highs in the 40s to low 50s on Thursday.

Clouds will increase on Friday with highs in the 40s in the Denver area. The mountains will begin to get periods of snow as a new storm cycle develops for the high country that should last through the weekend and bring a foot of snow to many of our ski areas during that time!

For Denver and the eastern plains, there will be a chance for snow by Saturday afternoon and a good chance for snow on Sunday. Right now, it does not look like this storm will bring heavy snow to Denver, perhaps just a few inches by early Monday.

Colder temperatures can be expected for all of Colorado into early next week.
