DENVER —
Winds will be strong tonight and Monday across the Front Range and plains from the west. Overnight lows will be in the mid 20s for Denver.

Snow will increase in the northern and central mountains Sunday night with 3 to 6 inches likely. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect through Monday night for our northern mountains. The Denver area and the eastern plains will turn cooler with gusty winds, but no snow is expected.

On Monday, it will be very cold in the high country, with temperatures in the teens and snow falling.

The weather pattern will remain fairly quiet through mid-week, with more dry weather for Denver and the eastern plains. It looks like the overall weather pattern will turn colder and more stormy for Colorado by the middle of January.
