Light snow is still falling across the Denver metro area so it will be a slick and cold start to the day. We picked up about 3 to 6 inches of snow across the Denver metro area, with closer to a foot in the foothills.

Roads are slick and hazardous with very cold temperatures and slippery conditions. If you can delay non-essential travel plans, it will be a good idea!

Tuesday will be very cold with periods of light snow. Highs will remain in the teens in Denver and surrounding areas. The winds will not be strong, but even gusts around 15-20 mph will drop wind chill below zero.

The sky will clear out Tuesday night and early Wednesday, with low temperatures dropping to zero to 5 below. Wednesday will stay quite chilly with highs in the 20s.

Looking ahead, more snow will hit the high country Thursday and Friday with another 6 to 12 inches possible in the mountains. Denver and the eastern plains may see a few flurries, but temperatures will stay moderate as the coldest air moves east of Colorado.

Highs should return to the 30s to low 40s late this week and over the weekend.
