DENVER — After a dry, cold, but beautiful day across Colorado Sunday, another storm system is set to roll in to start the week.

Tonight, clouds increase and lows drop to the teens and 20s over the metro-area.

Monday will be mostly cloudy and chilly, with highs in the upper 30s in Denver. Snow showers develop in the mountains by mid-day. Around 2 to 4 inches of snow can be expected in the southern and central mountains and upwards of 3 to 6 inches for the northern mountains

There will be a chance for light snow over the Front Range and plains Monday night into early Tuesday morning. Accumulation will likely be light, but we could see some slick roads for the Tuesday morning drive. Skies will clear quickly through the day, with sunshine and 30s expected by the afternoon.

Wednesday will be dry again, with sunshine across the state. Slightly warmer, more seasonal weather returns through the end of the week, with highs in the low to mid-40s.
