DENVER — Hot days are back for Denver and the eastern plains with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s again on Thursday.
Skies are still a bit on the hazy side, thanks to smoke particles from numerous western wildfires, but the overall air quality is moderately good.
The weather will remain quiet into the holiday weekend. It will also be warm with highs in the upper 80s on Friday. In the mountains, temperatures will be in the 70s and the aspen leaves are starting to turn gold! By the way, nighttime lows in the high country are now dropping into the upper 30s to middle 40s.
A weak cold front will push across the northern Rockies on Saturday with an increase in clouds and a slight chance for some showers. Highs will dip a bit over the weekend with highs in the low to mid-80s in Denver and across the plains.
Most areas will remain dry, warm and pleasant for Labor Day. Highs will be in the mid-80s in Denver and 70s in the mountains.
A change in the weather pattern next week will bring cooler temperatures and a good chance for showers and thunderstorms by Tuesday and Wednesday.
