DENVER —It has been a very active weather pattern across Colorado, complete with heavy rain, hail, loads of lightning and even snow in the mountains!

Severe thunderstorms developed over the Front Range, with nearly 3 inches of rain in Boulder, combined with pea to marble sized hail that piled up several inches deep. By evening, the storms had rumbled east across the plains and heading into Kansas.
The storms could also bring the threat of flash flooding. The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for all of northeastern Colorado through Saturday.

The mountains will see some heavy snow across the northern and central mountains through Saturday. A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for the northern central mountains. We could see about 8 to 12 inches above 10,000 feet.
Expect even cooler temperatures on Saturday, with highs on in the low 50s. Showers will be likely on Saturday, but it will be too cool for strong thunderstorms.
A few more storms and showers are possible on Sunday and temperatures will climb into the mid-60s. Warmer and drier weather will return for Monday and Tuesday.
