DENVER — Ready for some weekend snow? Well, ready or not... a winter storm is now hitting Colorado and already bringing some heavy snow to the Colorado mountains and will continue to move across the Front Range through Sunday.

The big story will be the extremely cold temps on Sunday. High temps will only reach the lower teens with the wind chill factor making it feel below zero. A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for the entire I-25 corridor through Sunday mid-morning.
Winter Storm Warnings have been posted for the mountains through Monday morning. Snowfall may exceed two feet in the mountains over the weekend as a series of storm systems pour in from the West Coast.

Cold conditions will continue into early next week with lows falling to near zero in Denver early Monday. The stormy weather will move out and skies will return to sunny or partly cloudy. Highs on Monday will be in the 20s to low 30s.
A moderation in temperatures will return next week with highs in the 40s by Wednesday, low 50s on Thursday.
