DENVER — It is a First Alert Action Day: Snow will pick up over the mountains Sunday, with one more mild, dry, but breezy day across the plains.

Our northern and central mountains have seen snow all day Sunday. Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories are in effect for a large portion of the high country through Monday morning. Accumulations of one to two feet are possible.
Across the Front Range and plains, Sunday will be mostly cloudy and breezy, with high temperatures in the upper 40s to low 50s.
The storm will eventually impact Denver starting Monday afternoon and evening. Snow is expected late Monday into Tuesday. Temperatures will colder, back into the low to mid 30s.
As of now, it looks like this system will bring around 1-4 inches of accumulating snow to the Denver area. Up to 6 inches of snow are likely into the adjacent foothills by Tuesday afternoon. Highs will be in the low 30s.
Wednesday will stay cold, in the 30s for highs, with a few lingering snow showers.
Milder and drier weather will return for Thursday and Friday.
