DENVER —Snow will increase in Denver and across the eastern plains tonight with an inch or two possible along and north of I-70 and 2 to 4 inches possible by daylight south of I-70. In the mountains, another two to four inches of snow will be possible in the central and northern mountains and 4 to 8 inches for the Southwest Mountains.
Temperatures will be cold tonight with lows in the teens and lower 20s, so plan for a slow morning drive in Denver and across the plains with snow covered and slippery conditions.
Friday will start out cold with lows in the low 20s in Denver. The morning should be slick and slow due to the snowfall. By midday, skies will be clearing and the roads will dry out. Highs will stay cool, in the upper 30s to low 40s.
Warmer and drier weather will arrive for the weekend with highs in the low 50s in Denver on Saturday and in the upper 30s to middle 40s in the mountains.
Sunday will be a pleasant day with highs in the mid-50s to around 60 degrees under a sunny sky. Highs in the mountains will be in the 40s.
A new storm system will move into Colorado on Monday with snow developing in the mountains and clouds increasing on the plains. Highs will be in the 30s in the mountains and middle 40s in Denver. Snow should develop in Denver Monday evening.
Tuesday looks to be cold and snow across Colorado. It is still too early for precise snowfall predictions, but several inches may fallin Denver with a foot or more in the mountains.
Another storm system may impact Colorado around Thanksgiving.
