Road conditions will be slick in places tonight as temperatures tumble to around zero in the Denver area. Lingering flurries will end and skies will become mostly clear overnight.

Temperatures will be very cold early Wednesday, with low temperatures dropping to zero to 5 below. Wednesday will stay quite chilly with highs in the 20s to low 30s under a sunny to partly cloudy sky

Looking ahead, more snow will hit the high country Thursday and Friday with another 6 to 12 inches possible in the mountains. Denver and the eastern plains may see a few flurries late Thursday, but temperatures will moderate as the coldest air moves east of Colorado.

Snow will increase in Denver and across northeastern Colorado Thursday night and early Friday with 2 to 4 inches possible by midday Friday. Highs should return to the 30s on the plains, with 20s in the mountains.

More snow will hit the high country this weekend with another chance for snow in Denver early next week.
