DENVER — A weak, slow moving upper air disturbance will continue to impact the weather over Colorado for the next few days.  This disturbance will keep clouds and shower chances in the forecast into Thursday.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will mostly stay below severe levels with just some brief heavy rainfall and lightning, but little threat for damaging winds or large hail.  The storms will end overnight with skies remaining partly to mostly cloudy.

Temperatures early Tuesday will be in the 40s in the mountains and mid-to upper 50s for Denver and the eastern plains.  By afternoon, readings will reach the upper 60s to low 70s in the mountains and upper 70s to middle 80s for lower elevations.

More afternoon showers and thunderstorms will develop on Tuesday, but once again the threat of severe weather is low.

Showers are also likely Wednesday in Denver, with highs only in the low 70s. Thursday, highs stay in the mid-70s, with a few PM storms.

Then, Friday through next weekend, a warmer and drier weather pattern returns, with highs back in the 80s.
