DENVER — Showers and thunderstorms are making their way across the front range and the eastern plains.
The threat of severe weather is low, but we have seen wet roads this evening in Denver. Highs were a bit cooler today, with highs in the low to mid 80s. Some of the storms that do show up could dump a lot of water in a short period of time.
In the mountains, temperatures will be in the upper 70s to mid 80s through the weekend with some widely scattered afternoon thunderstorms.
Fire danger will remain high across the state as the hotter weather returns. Temperatures will climb back into the 90s this weekend, with a 20 percent chance of storms in Denver on Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
