DENVER — An Arctic cold front raced across Colorado Monday morning and will bring snow and near record cold tonight and early Tuesday. The snow and colder temperatures will impact the Monday evening and Tuesday morning commutes, especially over higher elevations west and south of Denver.

In the mountains and foothills, snow totals are expected to reach around 8 to 14 inches. The Southern Foothills and Palmer Divide could see amounts over 6 inches. Across the Front Range Urban Corridor, lighter amounts are expected in comparison. In Denver, snow totals are looking to reach around 4-6 inches by Tuesday morning.

This will be a fast moving storm, expect skies to clear Tuesday, but it will stay cold with highs just in the upper 30s to low 40s in Denver - the "average" high is now in the low 60s!

There will be another storm on Wednesday, with light snow possible in the afternoon and highs in the low 40s.

Thursday will be a little milder with a chance for some rain showers in the afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 40s to low 50s.

Warmer weather will finally return to Colorado for the weekend. Friday will be in the upper 50s to near 60 degrees. Saturday will be in the mid-60s and Sunday will be in the low 70s!
