DENVER — Warm and dry weather will cover Colorado for the weekend. Skies will be mostly clear with just a few high, thin clouds drifting across the state.

Tonight will be mild with lows in the low to mid-40s in Denver and across the I-25 Corridor.  On the plains, some spots will dip into the upper 30s.  In the mountains, lows by early Saturday will be in the mid-20s to low 30s.

It will be a beautiful Saturday across Colorado. Even warmer weather with highs around 75 degrees in Denver and across the plains. In the mountains, temperatures will be in the upper 50s to near 60 degrees.  Winds will be from the west and gusty statewide with speeds of 15 to 25 mph.

Sunday will stay dry, but turn slightly cooler as a weak cold front slips across Colorado.  This front will not bring any precipitation, but will lower temperatures by a few degrees. Highs will be in the upper 60s to low 70s on the plains and in the 50s in the mountains.

The weather will stay mild and pleasant for Monday with highs near 70 degrees in Denver and in the 50s to near 60 in the mountains.

The forecast is for colder and wetter weather to arrive Tuesday and for Halloween.  A stronger cold front will push across Colorado on Tuesday with rain showers changing to light snow for Denver and the northeast plains.  Temperatures will start out around 50 degrees in the morning, but fall to the middle 30s by late afternoon.

In the mountains, 3 to 6 inches of snow will be possible Tuesday and again on Wednesday.  Snow will be lighter Tuesday night and Wednesday for the Denver area, but 1 to 3 inches certainly seems possible.

Halloween will be cold for trick-or-treaters!  A chance for some flurries and temperatures in the low 30s in the late afternoon and early evening.
