DENVER —99 degrees was our official, record breaking high for Denver on Monday. The previous record was 97 degrees set 33 years ago.

For the Broncos preseason game against the 49ers at Broncos Stadium at Mile High this evening, expect very warm conditions and partly cloudy skies. Temperatures will be in the 90s at 6 p.m. and mid 80s by 9 p.m.

Highs for Tuesday will also be in the mid to upper 90s, but I don't think we will break the daily record of 99 degrees. It will still be extremely hot.

We won't see another chance for widespread rain across the Front Range until Wednesday. There will however be a chance for isolated thunderstorms come Tuesday afternoon and evening with the approach of our next cold front. Temperatures will also cool into the upper 80s.
