A nice warmup for Denver for the next few days

DENVER — Expect mostly clear skies with warmer temperatures across the I-25 Corridor and the Denver Metro area. Highs are expected in the mid-to upper 40s this afternoon. Melting will continue as the snow from last Friday slowly disappears.

There will be some colder air filtering into the northeast corner of Colorado as we are right on the edge of a large pool of Arctic air that covers the northern great plains. Temperatures in the Nebraska Panhandle and extreme northeast Colorado will stay in the upper 20s to low 30s.

A storm system will move over the northern Rockies spreading a little A little snow over the mountains late Tuesday and Wednesday. Denver and the Front Range will stay mild and dry through the middle of the week.

A cold front will slide southward from Canada on Thursday and will arrive in Colorado on Friday. Colder temperatures and some light snow will be possible for the mountains and the Denver area.
