DENVER — Temperatures were about 5-10 degrees below normal again today. We had showers and thunderstorms develop this afternoon~however, quite a few of them formed east of I-25 and kept going east. We didn't have the rain for Denver that we did on Wednesday because of this.
A few showers and storms are still possible Friday, especially over eastern Colorado. Highs will be in the upper 70s to near 80 in Denver and across the plains. The mountains will be in the upper 60s to mid 70s.
Warmer and drier weather is coming for the weekend and into early next week. Expect highs in the mid to upper 80s Saturday and Sunday! The warm and dry weather will continue for most of next week.
The aspens are turning in the mountains! This weekend should be a great time to get up to the high country and enjoy the annual display of aspen gold, especially in areas north of I-70.
