...FLOOD ADVISORY FOR SNOWMELT REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER
NOTICE...
* WHAT...Hydrologic flooding caused by snowmelt continues.
* WHERE...A portion of the North Fork Gunnison River through Delta
County.
* WHEN...Until further notice.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
River or stream levels are elevated, and fast flow will continue
to carve and erode curved banks along the channel.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 240 PM MDT, emergency management reported flooding in the
advisory area, mainly in the form of significant erosion of
banks along the river.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...

- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
remote areas near Hotchkiss and Paonia.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
