...FLOOD ADVISORY FOR SNOWMELT REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER
NOTICE...
* WHAT...Hydrologic flooding caused by snowmelt continues.
* WHERE...Along Surface Creek to the confluence with the Gunnison
River.
* WHEN...Until further notice.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
River or stream flows are elevated due to high flows from snowmelt.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1256 PM MDT, gage reports indicated high flows due to
accelerated snowmelt off the Grand Mesa. Minor flooding is
already occurring in the advisory area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.
