Woman killed in 2-car crash in Aurora; CSP advises drivers to avoid the area

AURORA, Colo. -- A woman is dead following a two-vehicle crash in Aurora Friday afternoon and authorities are warning drivers to avoid the area for the next several hours. 

The crash involving a semi and a Honda SUV happened just after 2:15 p.m. in the area of South Gun Club Road just south East Quincy Avenue, according to Colorado State Patrol Trooper Josh Lewis. 

"Avoid the area for the next several hours," Lewis told Denver7 when asked about traffic closures near the scene of the crash. 

It was not immediately clear if there were any other injured drivers in this crash.
