DENVER – A water main break at 47th Ave. and N. Washington Street in Denver closed the intersection down just before 11 a.m. Monday.
Denver Water spokesman Todd Hartman said cleanup at the intersection could take between 8 and 10 hours to clean up, meaning the high-trafficked area could be closed through the afternoon rush hour.
Hartman said he did not know the cause of the main break as of noon Monday, nor how much water was released in the break.
