Traffic was diverted for most of the afternoon after a cement truck rolled over on University Boulevard, closing all southbound lanes early Wednesday afternoon.

The crash, which also closed the I-25 off-ramp, happened at around 1:15 p.m. under Interstate 25, according to a Denver Police Department dispatch spokesperson.

DPD officials also tweeted someone was seriously hurt in the crash, but did not release information as to the number of injured or the extent of their injuries.

Traffic was diverted from southbound University Boulevard to northbound I-25. According to a Denver7 photojournalist, University was closed all the way back to East Iowa Avenue.

All lanes on University Boulevard and the SB I-25 off-ramp were back open by 4:30 p.m.
