Roadwork on E-470 between I-25, C-470 and Parker Road to cause traffic delays

DENVER -- Roadwork on a five-mile stretch of E-470 will cause some traffic delays for the next two weekends, an official with the E-470 Public Highway Authority says.

Starting at 5 a.m. Saturday, drivers on E-470 between the I-25 and C-470 interchange and Parker Road will experience some traffic delays due to construction projects.

Lanes in both directions of E-470 will be closed near the toll plaza between Peoria Street and Chambers Road. 

The authority’s contractor will start work early Saturday morning and continue until early Monday morning.

"The lane closures are necessary to make pavement repairs and remove and replace aging toll equipment embedded in the pavement," an E-470 official said.
