A motorcyclist was killed after crashing on Clear Creek Canyon late Saturday morning, according to Colorado State Patrol officials.
The motorcyclist, whose identity has not been released, was going westbound on U.S. 6 when he hit the guardrail and was thrown from the motorcycle, according to CSP Trooper Alisah Danko.
The crash took place on Highway 6 mile marker 226 in Golden at around 11:30 a.m.. The highway was closed from Golden to Highway 119.
