GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo. – Four lanes of northbound I-25 were shut down between Orchard and Belleview just before noon Monday after a semi-truck crash, but had reopened by 2 p.m.
Approximately 90 gallons of diesel fuel spilled from one of the trucks involved, according to South Metro Fire Rescue. All but one of the northbound lanes were closed as of 12:15 p.m.
A Greenwood Village police spokesperson said there were two trucks involved in the crash, which happened around 11:45 a.m. The spokesperson said the spill was contained, but Haz-Mat teams were brought in to clean the spill.
Traffic was slow through the area in the early afternoon, but all lanes had reopened by 2 p.m.
