DENVER – One of the most anticipated matches in the history of boxing is taking place Saturday, and millions of people are expected to be watching the fight around the world at the price tag of $99.99.

The match-up between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather Jr. has been the most talked about sporting event for the past week, and much of that talk has centered around the money each will get to fight the other. Win or lose, Mayweather is projected to earn approximately $200 million off the bout, while McGregor will likely earn at least $100 million, the Associated Press reported this week.

If you’re not fond of paying nearly $100 to see the show, many bars around the metro area are coming to the rescue. The fight starts at 7 p.m.

1. Stoney’s Bar & Grill – 1111 Lincoln Street in Denver

Stoney’s Bar and Grill, off 11th Avenue and Lincoln Street, will have more than a dozen screens to showcase the boxing match between Mayweather and McGregor. Open-seating will be available, but it’s on a first-come, first-serve basis. There is a $20 cover fee. 

2. NATIV – 1612 Wazee St. in Denver

The NATIV Hotel in Denver will be serving up $10 wing plates on special in the Biergarten. Happy hour is from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and from 9 to 11 pm. After the fight, head down to the Stereo lounge for a wild Saturday Night Dance Party with resident DJ J|Adore. There is a $10 cover to get in the door.

Three projector screens at the bar will be showing the fight and six TVs will be showing the fight in the restaurant itself.

3. Irish Rover – 54 S. Broadway in Denver

Head south on Broadway near the intersection with East Bayaud Avenue for $4 Breckenridge Brewery draft beer from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. There is no cover to get in.

4. Wash Park Sports Alley – 266B South Downing Street in Denver

Watch the Mayweather vs McGregor Fight at Sports Alley for just a $20 cover (or reserve a six-top table for $150). Advance ticket holders will be invited to the pre-fight party from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. to pick their seats and enjoy $2.75 domestic drafts, $4 premium drafts, shot specials and prize giveaways.

Standing room only. General admission will accepted after 7 p.m. Call (303) 635-6691 to reserve a spot.

5. Crimson and Gold Tavern – 2017 S. University Boulevard in Denver

There will be a garage sale of $2.50 beer cans all night, $3 PBR Tallboys, $3 house lager beer and $3 pickle shots. You do have to pay $20 to get in at the door, but if you get there before 6 p.m. you get in free. There will be speakers outside if you will be able to hear the fight.  

6. Viewhouse III – 2660 West Main St. in Littleton

The Viewhouse location in Littleton will be the only one in the Denver metro area that will not be charging a cover fee. Be sure to get there early, we’re getting word people will start coming in at 3 p.m.

7. Catfish Haven – 4650 Tower Road in Denver

Catfish Haven is hosting a watch party for the big fight. It’ll be $15 to get in the door. You can enjoy $0.60 wings, 3-for-1 well wine and draft beers and $10 catfish baskets starting at 8 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
