Von Miller gets sick; 2nd guesses food choices

Broncos all-pro linebacker Von Miller missed practice Wednesday with an illness, but returned Thursday as a full participant. The culprit for his hiatus? Mozzarella sticks and an Icee.

"You can’t put just regular gas in a Ferrari. I learned that yesterday — it did me bad. I learned my lesson," said Miller.

The 26-year-old four-time Pro Bowler and two-time all-pro has played like a car that could cost up to $400,000. He went to see "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" this week where he told members of the media he enjoyed those snacks but, "The Force struck back.”

In 2015, Miller led the Broncos with 11 sacks to go with 35 tackles, and four forced fumbles.

Sunday, for the eighth time-all-time, the Broncos will play the Pittsburgh Steelers in the post-season.

When asked if there were any lingering effects from the fried cheese and sugary Icee," Miller said. "I’m back on my diet. I’m ready to go.”

His ability to get after injured Steelers Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger could be a difference maker. Kickoff is set for 2:40 p.m. at Mile High Stadium.
