The Denver Nuggets will meet with free agent Dwyane Wade Wednesday with a 2-year $52-million dollar offer on the table.
According to national reports on Yahoo and ESPN and confirmed through 7-Sports sources, Nuggets owner Josh Kroenke, GM Tim Connelly, and head coach Michael Malone will sit down with the 12-time All-Star.
The Nuggets offer of $26-million a year is more than the Miami Heat has offered. Wade has played his entire 13-year career in Miami and has won three NBA titles with the Heat. At age 34, Wade averaged 19 points a game last season. The Nuggets picked a pair of shooting guards in the first round of the draft in Jamal Murray and Malik Beasley. But Wade would be the superstar player the Nuggets have lacked since the Carmelo Anthony trade.
