The 3rd ranked DU Pioneers men’s lacrosse team started the season with a 14-6 win over #17 Air Force Saturday at Peter Barton Stadium. It was the 14th straight sell-out at the Pioneers home field.
Connor Cannizzaro led DU (1-0) with six points behind four goals and a pair of assists, while freshman Ethan Walker had five goals and two assists, with junior Jeremy Bosher rounding out the scoring with a trio of goals.
Sophomore Alex Ready finished with 10 saves in goal, while junior faceoff man Trevor Baptiste was successful on 15-for-18 faceoff attempts for the Crimson and Gold, picking up 12 ground balls and a goal in the process.
