Posted

Ok, Broncos Country. We know the drill by now.

It's the playoffs, the big game is coming up, and your Broncos need some extra support. Time to pull out that Manning jersey, or Elway for some of the older fans, and show off that Broncos pride.

Mayor Michael Hancock declared this upcoming Friday to be "Orange Friday" and has asked for fans to show off their orange starting on Friday and continue through the weekend.

"We want to keep that momentum going and that positive energy flowing as our team takes the stage at Levi's Stadium this Sunday," said Mayor Hancock.

While the fans show their colors, the City and County of Denver will be doing the same. Here are some of the ways that the Mile High City will be "bleeding orange and blue".

  • Denver City and County Building, Sports Authority Field at Mile High, Denver's Union Station, Elitch Gardens tower and ferris wheel, Daniels and Fisher tower, Mellennium Bridge, Four Seasons hotel needle, Children's Hospital Colorado and Three Empower Retirement towers will be lit in Broncos Orange
  • The Southwest Rink at Skyline Park will show off its orange and blue spirit beginning with a Big Game Pep Rally on Thursday, February 4th at noon.
  • Republic Plaza will shine a Broncos Logo on top of the building beginning Thursday night, and the building will remain lith through Super Bowl Sunday.
  • 14th Street General Imporvements District monuments will be lit up Broncos orange and blue.
  • The Cow Parade cow sculptures along the 16th Street Mall will will adorn orange and blue scarves for the weekend.
  • LED signs along 14th and 16th streets downtown, Speer Blvd. and the Denver Coliseum displaying playoff messages.

The Denver Broncos will be taking on the Carolina Panthers this Sunday in Super Bowl 50. The game will start at 4:30 p.m. MST in Santa Clara, CA.
