COSTA MESA, Calif. (AP) — The Los Angeles Chargers could explore bringing in Colin Kaepernick for a workout depending on what happens during the preseason, but right now, nothing is scheduled.
Coach Anthony Lynn says Kaepernick is on the team's workout list because he fits the style the Chargers are looking for.
"I'm very confident and happy with the three quarterbacks that I have, but you can never have too many people waiting on the runway," Lynn said, per ESPN's Lindsey Thiry.
Per NFL Network's Omar Ruiz, Lynn thinks that Kaepernick “fits the style of quarterback for the system we’ll be running.”

Lynn added that he hasn't spoken to Kaepernick, who hasn't played since 2016.
Kaepernick began kneeling during the national anthem before games in 2016 to take a stand against police brutality.
On Tuesday, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said he would like to see Colin Kaepernick back in the league.
On Wednesday, President Donald Trump said that “absolutely, he would” be supportive of Kaepernick playing in the NFL again.
Kaepernick spent six seasons with the San Francisco 49ers and was one play away from winning the Super Bowl in 2013 against the Baltimore Ravens.
Los Angeles was 5-11 last season and has moved on at quarterback after 14 seasons with Philip Rivers under center.
