BOULDER, Colo. – The coaching awards continue to roll in for University of Colorado football coach Mike MacIntyre, as he was on Thursday named the 2016 Walter Camp Coach of the Year.

The award is selected by 129 head coaches and sports information directors from Football Bowl Subdivision schools across the country.

MacIntyre was also named the Pac-12 Coach of the Year earlier this week. He is in his fourth season coaching the Buffs after he spent two years coaching San Jose State, and has led Colorado to a 10-2 overall record and an 8-1 conference record.

The Buffs are ranked eighth in the latest College Football Playoff rankings and will play Washington Friday in the Pac-12 championship, with the chance to make the BCS Playoffs if they win.

MacIntyre is the second CU coach to win the Walter Camp award; Bill McCartney won it in 1989 when he led the Buffaloes to the national title game and went 11-1.

Clemson’s Dabo Swinney won the award last year.
