The Foothills Flyers Squirt A Green team volunteered at Light of the World Catholic Church with their Sunday lunch bunch, where the boys and their families made over 300 sack lunches for the Denver Rescue mission.

The team also sponsored a less fortunate family in Jefferson County. The Flyers bought gifts and a Christmas tree for a Mom and her four children. The Foothills Flyers Squirt A Green team is made up of 9 and 10-year old players, who are all heroes in the community!

If your team held a food drive, visited a senior citizens center, cleaned up a park, or held a clinic for kids, we want to know about it!

Send Sports Director Lionel Bienvenu pictures or video of your team doing good things in the community, and we’ll show them on TV on Denver7 Sports. We’ll also post them right here on this page, and on Lionel’s Facebook page as well.

We hope to applaud those young athletes for doing good deeds, and at the same time encourage others to get involved in their community and make the sports world a better place for all of us.
