DENVER — The Colorado Rapids are parting ways with head coach Anthony Hudson after less than two years.
The team made the announcement Wednesday.
Hudson joined the Rapids in November 2017 and led the team to a 8-26-9 record in MLS league play.
The Rapids are currently last in the Western Conference, with a 0-2-7 record so far this season and a -12 goal differential. They are the only winless team in Major League Soccer.
“We appreciate Anthony’s commitment to the Rapids organization during his time with the club,” said Rapids Executive Vice President and General Manager Pádraig Smith. “This is a pivotal period in the development of our team and it’s in the club’s best interest to make a change now. We still have a lot of season left and we look forward to getting back on track.”
Assistant coach Conor Casey will serve as interim head coach while the club searches for Hudson’s replacement.
