The Colorado Avalanche unveiled the uniforms they will wear against the Detroit Red Wings this season in the Coors Light Stadium Series in February.
With team captain Gabriel Landeskog, the team held a press conference at Coors Field, where the game will take place.
According to the team, the jersey will only be used during the Stadium Series game, and features the Colorado "C" design that was added to the normal jersey earlier this year. It also features larger numbers on the back and shoulder so fans can identify their favorite player.
The Red Wings have yet to unveil the jerseys they will wear for the game, but some websites have pictures of what the jerseys could look like.
The game will take place Saturday, Feb. 27 at 8 p.m. eastern time. There will also be an alumni game the day before at 7 p.m. eastern time. The two teams will be comprised of many of the Red Wings and Avalanche who competed from 1996-2002. The Red Wings and Avs faced each other in the Stanley Cup Playoffs five times over that period of time.
The @NHL just announced that a limited number of tickets to the Stadium Series game will go on sale to the public on Tues, Oct. 27!
