A legendary NFL duo is on the verge of reuniting in Tampa.

According to ESPN's NFL insider Adam Schefter, the Buccaneers and the New England Patriots have agreed to terms that would send retired tight end Rob Gronkowski and a seventh-round pick to Tampa Bay.

In exchange for the star tight end, the Patriots will set to receive a fourth-round pick from the Bucs, Schefter reports.

Schefter added the trade has been agreed upon by both teams but is pending a physical. If official, the deal would get Gronkowski, who turns 31 in May, to once again team up with his longtime quarterback Tom Brady.

Brady shocked the NFL world earlier this offseason by leaving the Patriots to sign with the Bucs.

As a duo, "Gronk" and Brady won three Super Bowl together (XLIX, LI, LIII) with the New England Patriots. With the pending transaction, Gronkowski joins an already loaded passing game with Pro Bowl wide receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.

WFTS' KJ Hiramoto was first to report this.
