Von Miller deal: Polarized Broncos Country fans react to news of contract agreement

DENVER -- Denver Broncos fans could not be happier that Von Miller is staying put.

The Super Bowl MVP just agreed to a six-year, $114.5 million contract with $70 million guaranteed.

"I think it's fantastic. The man earned it. You don't have a Super Bowl and a playoff run like that and not earn every bit of money that he just got," said Broncos fan Drew Stoltz. "The guy played out of his mind. His teammates know that. It's a business. Both ends want it to be a business. You get what they want and he gets all the money in the world, and I'm happy for him."

The $70 million in guaranteed money is $25 million more than John Elway made in his entire playing career with the Broncos.

"He was a huge contributor in the Super Bowl and so I understand it, but I do understand why the Broncos took so long to sign him," said Broncos fan Alex Beck. "It was a lot of money, but hey, I love Von."

"I am not so much a fan of the contract. That big of a contract is going to take away a couple of players, and I'm scared that it's going to be starters," said Broncos fan David Rios.

"Is this amount for Von Miller better than no Von Miller?" asked Denver7 reporter Marshall Zelinger.

"Only time can tell on that. I can't even say that. I'm too much of a fan to say that, really," said Rios.

On Instagram and Twitter, Miller posted a spoof of Jerry Maguire. His head was photoshopped over Cuba Gooding, Jr.'s character and John Elway's head was photoshopped on top of Maguire's head, in the famous "Show me the money" scene.

"I think it's awesome and well deserved," said Broncos fan Vic Berlin.

Berlin told Denver7 that he used to valet cars at sporting events. He's happy for Miller, but has a message for him.

"I would love to see him tip. I valeted for years and I would love to see, with this new contract, him tip when he valets," said Berlin.
