The city of Denver takes its team seriously. You can't walk down the street without seeing "United in Orange" flags flying from light poles and thousands of fans wearing the number 18 jersey.
In North Carolina, though, it appears that there weren't very many Panthers fans as recently as December 2014.
In December 2014, when the Panthers were 3-8 and struggling to win games, only 34 percent of people in North Carolina claimed they were fans of the teal and black.
Last month, when the Panthers were undefeated, PPP asked the same question. This time, they got wildly different results: 60 percent of North Carolinians said they were rooting for the Panthers.
Now, we're not saying that all Panthers fans are just jumping on the bandwagon, but that hasn't stopped people on Twitter from posting memes like these:

That bandwagon may empty out pretty quickly if the Broncos can beat the Panthers on Super Bowl Sunday.
