CENTENNIAL, Colo. -- Signs of last season appeared everywhere Wednesday. The Super Bowl trophies, including one from Super Bowl 50, sat encased in the locker room. The injury report shrank, with the Broncos' health improving at the most critical time.

And oh yeah, their former quarterback stopped by the facility. Peyton Manning, perhaps you've heard of him. The five-time NFL MVP attended practice for the first time since retiring last March. He brought his twins with him, posing for pictures and hanging out with the guys.

"Me and (Quarterback) Austin (Davis) were running and we told him, 'I know you've got some shorts on under there. Come join us.' But he wasn't having it," quarterback Trevor Siemian said. "It was good to see him out there."

Manning, pictured with quarterbacks coach Greg Knapp, created a breathtaking resume in four seasons with the Broncos. He won four straight AFC West titles, led the team to a pair of Super Bowls, winning last season, while posting a 45-12 record as a starter with 140 touchdown passes.

"I told all the rookies to go over and introduce themselves," coach Gary Kubiak said. "We talk quite a bit. It was good to see him."

Manning travels frequently, but maintains a residence in the Denver area. He has yet to decide on his next career step, though he has been linked to NFL ownership groups and would likely have his pick of broadcast jobs if he decided to purse that path.
