A man banking on a Patriots win will wear long pants for life because of being wrong.

Burke O'Connell, who's originally from Boston, added a tattoo declaring the Patriots the winners of Super Bowl 50, WCVB reports.

He got the tattoo before the AFC Championship game, which New England lost to Denver 20-18.

"Honestly, I just had a bad feeling right in the beginning, and they started losing," said O'Connell.

This tattoo was completed Friday. Artist MilkTatz says his work on O'Connell's left calf seemed like a sure thing.

"That's why I said, 'Let's write the word champs on top. Let's not just put Super Bowl 50. Let's put champs,'" he explained.

O'Connell plans to keep the tattoo covered until he returns to his current home in Los Angeles.

"They're champs anyway. We got four rings," he said to WCVB. "We're the best anyway regardless if we win or lose."
