Family: Teacher says 'no' to girl's Bronco dress

Posted

A little girl's grandmother says the girl is being discriminated against for her team of choice.

She's a Broncos fan in Tacoma, Wash.

The girl wore a Broncos cheerleader uniform to school on Seahawks' "Blue Friday."

"Her teacher happens to be an avid Seahawks fan, so she called her aside and told her that she was not allowed to wear her Broncos dress, that if she didn't have a Seahawk shirt to wear she'd have to wear her uniform," Fawn Allen said.

Allen says the teacher twisted the rules.

A Tacoma School District spokesperson commented that it wasn't clear what the teacher said to her student about the dress.

They have now clarified what "Blue Friday" means.

Students can now wear apparel representing any team.
