Bill Belichick knows something Gary Kubiak doesn’t – seemingly.

The Denver Broncos coach says quarterback Peyton Manning hasn’t discussed retirement with him. NFL cameras caught the sheriff telling Belichick that “this might be (his) last rodeo” after the Patriots game on Sunday. Manning added it’s been a pleasure to play against the coach.

Manning heard saying 'This might be my last rodeo'

“He hasn’t said anything to me,” Kubiak told reporters after Thursday's practice. “I know he’s enjoying the playoffs and enjoying the opportunity with this team. You know, I can’t speak for him. I know it’s special to have him back in the huddle, leading the way. “

The question naturally came up again minutes later for Manning, who gave an inconspicuous answer.

“I don't know if it's been confirmed or not,” Manning said to laughs. “What happened to private conversations on the 50-yard line? They just don’t exist anymore. No confirmation on that whatsoever. On to Carolina.”

The five-time MVP is the older quarterback to compete in a Super Bowl and according to Elias research, this will be the largest age gap between quarterbacks: 13 years and 48 days.

Manning sat out  for seven starts this season with a foot injury.
