DENVER – The Carolina Panthers had new owners Friday -- at least temporarily -- after they lost their Super Bowl 50 rematch with the Denver Broncos Thursday night.
Someone, likely a plucky Broncos fan, edited the Panthers’ Wikipedia page overnight to show the Broncos were the “owners” of the team back east after their second-straight win over Cam Newton’s team.
The page has since been returned to its original state, but screenshots of the post made its way around Denver social media Friday.
But let’s be honest, the Broncos have indeed “owned” the Panthers since February.
