Denver Broncos pick Super Bowl uniform color

The Broncos have chosen to wear white uniforms in Super Bowl 50.

As the AFC Champion in an even-numbered year, Denver's team could pick which color to wear when they play the Carolina Panthers.

"We’ve had Super Bowl success in our white uniforms, and we’re looking forward to wearing them again in Super Bowl 50," said General Manager John Elway.

The Broncos won their last Super Bowl -- Super Bowl XXXIII --- in white jerseys in during the 1998 season. The Broncos were 6-2 on the road this year, tying a franchise record for the most road wins in a season.

This will be the Broncos' seventh Super Bowl appearance under Owner Pat Bowlen, tying for the most in the NFL during his 32 years of ownership.

Denver's home uniform color is orange. 

The Broncos are 0-4 in orange, 1-1 in white, and 1-0 in blue, according to Broncos Wire.

The last time Peyton Manning and Cam Newton met on the field, Denver wore white and Carolina wore black. The win went to the Broncos, 36-14.
