The Denver Broncos placed David Bruton, Jr. on Injured Reserve, officially ending his season.

The Special Teams Captain suffered a fractured right fibula in Sunday's 34-27 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

With a timetable of four to six weeks to recover from the injury, Bruton knew the Injured Reserve list was a possibility.

"That's not my call. I would love to say in a perfect world I'm healed in three weeks, we have the bye week and then I'm back for that initial round of the playoffs for us,"  Bruton said Monday. "But again, its what the coaches see fit, how the roster shakes out and things of that nature."

The Broncos signed Shaun Prater to replace Bruton on the 53-man roster.
