ENGLEWOOD, Colo. – Former Denver Broncos Champ Bailey, Steve Atwater and John Lynch will join owner Pat Bowlen as finalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2019, the National Football League announced Thursday.

The three are among 15 modern-era finalists for this year’s class, which also includes cornerback Ty Law, who played his final NFL season with the Broncos.

Bowlen was announced in August as a contributor nominee for the class.

Atwater, a safety, was a finalist in 2016, and Lynch was a finalist for the past five years. Bailey was named a finalist this year in his first year of eligibility.

Lynch is the only of the three who is a member of the Broncos’ Ring of Fame. Lynch played the final four years of his career in Denver and was selected to the Pro Bowl each year. The Broncos made the playoffs in 2004 and 2005.

Law played in seven games with the Broncos in the final season of his career, 2009, after 14 years with New England, Kansas City and the New York Jets.

Among the other modern-era finalists are Isaac Bruce, Alan Faneca, Tony Gonzalez, Edgerrin James and Ed Reed.

The 18 finalists will be narrowed down by the Hall of Fame Selection Committee on Feb. 2.
