PUEBLO, Colo. (KOAA) — The Pueblo Fire Department (PFD) was on the scene of a fire burning in Fountain Creek along Dillon Drive on Wednesday afternoon.

According to our crew on scene, the fire is along Dillon Drive near the Hart Road intersection, which is located next to the Pueblo Mall.

In PFD's latest update, the fire was around eight acres, and 65% contained.

The Pueblo Police Department and Sheriff's Office have been on scene assisting with the situation.

Around 4:00 p.m., PFD says that the areas and roads around the Pueblo Mall were back open, but crews are continuing fire suppression. Drivers in the area are asked to use caution.

Firefighters will stay in the area all night to monitor the fire.
