Oreo apparently has every intention of helping kick off 2021 in a big way. The beloved brand will mark the new year by collaborating with one of the world’s most original celebrities.

On Dec. 2, Lady Gaga posted a video on Twitter to announce her new partnership with the makers of the famous creme-filled chocolate sandwich cookies inspired by her 2020 album, “Chromatica.” Now her fans, known affectionately as “Little Monsters,” might just morph into little cookie monsters when these treats drop.

As with most things related to Lady Gaga, these cookies are going to be far from plain. In fact, the classic Oreo is getting a major glow-up thanks to the pop star, who gave fans a sneak peek in her Tweet. The short clip she posted featured her adorable dog, who looked like he couldn’t wait to sink his teeth into one of them.

“So they decided it was a good idea to have a ‘Chromatica’ Oreo,” she said in the video. “Which is a pink cookie with green filling!”

That neon-green creme really pops against the unique packaging that the cookies will come in. Each pack is bright pink with “Lady Gaga” printed in bold silver letters and a simulated rip down the middle that shows what the cookies look like.

Inside the package, fans will find each cookie embossed with one of three different designs inspired by “Chromatica,” which was released in May. She has said the album itself is all about “spreading color and kindness to the world and how to make it better. “

One of Lady Gaga’s online fan clubs, Gaga Daily, shared an image of the new cookies on its own Twitter account.

While Oreo hasn’t announced a specific release date for full-sized packs of the limited-edition cookies, the company told “Good Morning America” that they will be offered in six-cookie packs at convenience stores starting in January.

The new collaboration is about more than colorful cookies, though.

Starting on Dec. 15, Oreo and Lady Gaga plan to launch “Sing it with Oreo,” a website to inspire fans to send “Oreograms” to friends and family for a chance to win an assortment of Lady Gaga merchandise and experiences, including a meet and greet.

What is an Oreogram, exactly? CNN reports people can record a personal message on the website and then it is “instantly transformed into a song that can be shared with friends and family on social media.”

“Whether it’s to show support, share affirmations, well wishes or congratulatory messages, Lady Gaga Oreograms are designed to inspire kindness,” the brand said in a statement.
